I'm a self-taught artist from Washington State, entering the art scene in late 2024. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I now live in the Inland Northwest.

My work is mainly a fusion of impressionism and expressionism with subtle touches of abstraction. I strive to create images that resonate on a personal level, evoking memories or emotions that are both relatable and intimate.

When choosing my subject matter, I am drawn to scenes that offer compelling texture and contrast, with the intention of pushing the focal point beyond the canvas. My goal is to engage the viewer in a way that invites them to explore beyond the surface and feel a deeper connection. Inspiration comes from a desire to move beyond depicting an image and instead leaning into the feelings and senses it provokes. I am fascinated by incorporating elements like wind, light, sound, or movement, which I feel bring an additional layer of storytelling and depth to my work.

Technically, I currently employ mixed media with fabrics, lace, crystals, beads, collage, acrylics, and more to build layers of texture and imagery, enhancing the visual impact and emphasizing the focal points within each piece. This layered approach creates a unique experience, inviting viewers to look closer and discover the nuanced interplay between form and feeling.

Through my art, I hope to offer escape and reflection. I create not to replicate an image, but to invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the moment. I hope that when people view my work, they might find a piece that elicits an emotion that makes them feel more connected to the magnificent world that we all share.
